We visited Karlsruhe for one day and that was perfect. We saw all the sightseeing spots like the ZKM museum, the palace, the lookout and the city centre and could fill the day nicely with that.

If we would have to spend another day there we would have checked out the lake nearby, but one day was fine to see the city.

The Castle, zoo, beautiful architecture of the buildings, the museum. The way the city was designed radiating from the palace.

I liked the retail side, easy transport around the city and to Frankfurt Airport. Loved the restuarants. We just went for the weekend at the therme across the street - very convenient for that.

Didn't get a chance to see any other parts of Karlsruhe but would like to come back again and see the Schloss.

A cold, grey day in January is probably is probably not Karlsruhe at it's best - but I really enjoyed my visit to the Ballet. I also enjoyed my visit to the museum in the place - in particular the tower and 'movie experience' - I've never seen anything quite like the movie.

Although I have very little German, it's very visual and I'd highly recommend. We visited Karlsruhe for a weekend, for the Christmas Markets and to meet up with friends.

My third visit for this reason, and my partners first visit. We probably didn't get to see as much of Karlsruhe, as we would have liked, as on our first day, it was raining quite heavily, then we spent one day in Bruchsal with friends.

The Christmas Markets are worth visiting for - lots of interesting craft stalls, with a variety of food and drink, an ice skating rink in front of Karlsruhe Palace, and Santa and his sleigh 'flying through the air'!

Great transport system, with trams connecting to all parts of the city and environs, and trains to nearby towns, Cities in Germany, and other European countries.

The Palace in the center of the town is well worth a visit. It is nice to walk around during the day and the night , great place for people of all ages and families out walking at night.

Good choice of restaurants in the area. The Palace is a fair distance from the Bahnhof, about 20 min but buses operate regularly. Very large shopping centre in the middle of the city and nice cafe around the city.

Staff was super-friendly and accommodating, EVERY small detail was thought of and usually free of additional charge. Sauna, fitness center, fast WiFi, free bicycle usage, great breakfast and phenomenal location.

The room even had a nice Bluetooth speaker we could use to listen to music. Our room did not have AC but did have two big floor-standing fans which did the job well.

The hotel is mostly central placed. We could walk to the center. The room is very ok and clean, big TV with lots of channels, the bathroom was also very clean and spacey for an Ibis.

Parking also very ok. Per total I could say that it was very nice staying here. I also requested late check out which they also accommodated free of charge.

I work in Karlsruhe for 2 weeks every month and this was my first time trying out a new hotel. Certainly exceeded my expectations. Well run, small hotel.

Ideally situated very near the station and good places to eat. Both times had great rooms, service and excellent breakfast.

This time we were upgraded to a penthouse mini suite, which was lovely, with views into the zoo. Will definitely book again. Very convenient for the tram to the city centre right outside , the tram also serves the train station for ICE to Frankfurt airport.

We can't comment on breakfast facilities because we didn't have breakfast at the hotel. Nice Locations, the Bar and "Lounge" Mauritius is not even 10 minutes away from the Hotel, so we had fun!

Nice people at the Reception!! Good people in the City! Karlsruhe is a place to be and the Hotel too!!! Nice new hip hotel. Nice staff and great boss!

Glad to have something like that in Karlsruhe. Till next time The staff were very helpful. Good selection of breakfast. Ideally placed for access to the town and tram to other areas just outside the hotel.

Very beautiful view from my room, staffs are good in English, perfect location near trams Modern and stylish yet warm and welcoming - a very difficult balance to strike.

Well done to the hotel management team! Excellent location, nice room, helpful staff. Good value. Breakfast was very good the room was clean. The hotel locatin was very neer of downtown.

Cozy hotel near train station. Excellent breakfast. Orange juice could be better. Sauceges were great. Varied selections were excellent. The Location was an pretty easy place to find we had to no trouble parking.

They have additional parking under the hotel which made me feel safe with my car being parked there. List your property.

Karlsruhe lies completely to the east of the Rhine , and almost completely on the Upper Rhine Plain. It contains the Turmberg in the east, and also lies on the borders of the Kraichgau leading to the Northern Black Forest.

The Rhine, one of the world's most important shipping routes, forms the western limits of the city, beyond which lie the towns of Maximiliansau and Wörth am Rhein in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate.

The city centre is about 7. Two tributaries of the Rhine, the Alb and the Pfinz , flow through the city from the Kraichgau to eventually join the Rhine.

Because of this city layout, in metric geometry , Karlsruhe metric refers to a measure of distance that assumes travel is only possible along radial streets and along circular avenues around the centre.

The city centre is the oldest part of town and lies south of the palace in the quadrant defined by nine of the radial streets. The market square lies on the street running south from the palace to Ettlingen.

The market square has the town hall Rathaus to the west, the main Lutheran church Evangelische Stadtkirche to the east, and the tomb of Margrave Charles III William in a pyramid in the buildings, resulting in Karlsruhe being one of only three large cities in Germany where buildings are laid out in the neoclassical style.

The area north of the palace is a park and forest. Originally the area to the east of the palace consisted of gardens and forests, some of which remain, but the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology founded in , Wildparkstadion football stadium, and residential areas have been built there.

The Karlsruhe Palace Schloss is an interesting piece of architecture; the adjacent Schlossgarten includes the Botanical Garden with a palm, cactus and orchid house, and walking paths through the woods to the north.

The so-called Kleine Kirche Little Church , built between and , is the oldest church of Karlsruhe's city centre.
